Samsung in Göd increased by nearly 300 people, several rental agencies reduced their staff

The largest domestic employer is still Magyar Posta Zrt, where the number of employees decreased by 100 from January to February 2024, with 23,339 postal workers in January.

Samsung SDI battery factory has expanded significantly. Here, 3,838 people were employed in January this year, up from 4,114 a month later, an increase of 276. If we look at it from a year's perspective, the number of people working at the Göd factory has increased by 911.

Fewer people are employed at the two biggest domestic temporary employment agencies, however. At market leader Prohuman, the number of employees fell by 203 to 6,212, while WHC had 5,906 employees in February, a decrease of 210.

Cleaning and facilities management firm B N Reference Ltd, which collects a string of government contracts, is expanding steadily. In February, they added 175 more employees, bringing their total to 11,737 and have grown by nearly 3,000 in a year.

Other firms saw staffing increases of less than 100. There are two extremes in this category, with Aldi retail multi adding 91 people and Pannonjob staffing down by 96.

Data on the number of employees reported by organisations are taken from official government sources (NAV, KSH). Some large companies - mainly banks, but also MOL, for example - do not provide monthly headcount data, so we cannot report on changes. Also, the number of borrowers' loan stock is not included in the headcount data, but is reported by the lending companies.
