How much do they earn next door?

Over the last year, the blue-collar labour shortage has decreased: fewer people are being recruited and workers are more willing to change. Nevertheless, companies cannot sit back: the trend can change at any time, and every year there are fewer new entrants and, with rapid technological progress, skills shortages are growing. What are the winning channels? What is the critical phase in recruitment? How can retraining and leadership development strengthen retention? There is a serious shortage of bus drivers in the domestic transport sector: the fleet is ageing and there are hardly any replacements, even though it is now easier and cheaper to obtain a category D licence. Smaller firms are finding it harder to train new drivers, while larger companies are trying to fill empty seats with tempting offers, Világgazdaság writes.

Many teachers' scores have been artificially lowered in the new performance appraisal to reduce the number of teachers in the outstanding category, which is worth extra money. Many were just one or two points short of the 80-point limit, while principals made a proportional adjustment to the salary cap, Népszava reports.
