Here's the \"man\" who applied for a thousand jobs while getting a good night's sleep

\"Finally, a good use for AI technology\" is the subtitle of an article in the British news site Unilad about a man looking for a job who was able to submit a personalised application for thousands of job vacancies using artificial intelligence technology \"while sleeping\".

A man on Reddit (a popular online social networking platform) claimed in a post on the "get employed" forum that his job search had changed massively after he created an AI bot, a software or program that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to perform tasks in an automated way. This job seeker, using an AI bot he created, successfully got himself to 50 job interviews by sleeping in his bed most of the time, Unilad reports.

While he rested, the AI did the brunt of the work: rewriting his CV and cover letter while he applied for jobs it deemed his "designer" suitable. "I created an artificial intelligence robot that: analyses candidate data, examines job descriptions, creates individual CVs and cover letters for each job, answers specific questions asked by recruiters, and automatically applies for jobs,\" reads the Reddit post. \"And all this while I was sleeping! In just one month, this method has helped me to schedule around 50 interviews. The personalised CVs and cover letters that my computer 'customised' for me based on each job description were very different from each other,\" he writes.

We've heard more about AI significantly rewriting the selection process on the recruiter side, with many workplaces using AI robots to screen candidates.

The author of the reddit post claims that the bot he used helped "effectively get through automated screening systems".

The post concludes with a philosophical, moral reflection: ´´Watching this technological revolution, I can´t help but wonder about the profound implications AI will have for the world of work. While effective, the automation of job applications raises questions.\" He continues: \"We are faced with a paradox: while we seek to optimise the selection process, we risk losing the human element that is often crucial in the work environment. The challenge we face is not only technological, but also ethical and social. We need to strike a delicate balance between the effectiveness of artificial intelligence and the diversity of human interactions. Only in this way can we ensure that the world of work in the future is not only productive, but also fulfilling and meaningful for all."

The challenge of balancing the effectiveness of AI with the need to meet the challenges of human interaction and diversity is a crucial one.

People are essentially eliminated from the hiring process

In a previous HR Portal article, we looked at a program called AI Hawk, which is going viral and is now being actively used by thousands of people to automatically apply for jobs using artificial intelligence. This is creating a bizarre process as people are essentially being eliminated from the hiring process. However, it is understandable that jobseekers want to automate the initial stages of the often nightmarish application process. AI-based assistance will level the playing field between companies using AI software for selection and the people applying for jobs. This tool will therefore create a more balanced ecosystem, where AI not only facilitates recruitment selection, but also supports talent sourcing.

It seems to be a win-win situation, or probably a lose-lose situation for those who don't use these tools, because the first stage of the recruitment selection process is to compete with "less and less people".
