33 thousand jobs to be filled: more job vacancies in March
From February to March, the number of job advertisements on the Hungarian web increased from 31 665 to 33 089. This is up by nearly 1,424 compared to the previous month, but a year ago there were 3,480 more job ads, according to the latest statistics from Állásportál.hu.
The Jobportal.hu, operated by HR Portal, views, collects and organises job advertisements posted by employers in Hungary, mainly job portals and company career sites. At the end of March, companies were looking for candidates for 33 089 positions. In comparison, 31 665 job vacancies were available in February, compared to 36 569 in March last year.
By region, the largest number of job offers are in Budapest and Pest (10 696), followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron (1297), Fejér (993), Komárom-Esztergom (817) and Bács-Kiskun (621). At the bottom of the list are Tolna (224) and Békés (208) counties.
From February to March, 16 of the 26 job categories saw an increase in the number of ads, while 10 saw a decrease. The number of ads increased by over 100 in construction (111), IT (133), finance (343), engineering (180), catering, technician (197) and skilled trades (260). There were declines of over 100 in logistics (-294), sales and distribution (-123) and customer service (-118)
The most frequently advertised positions in the specialties with the highest number of ads were:
Manufacturing (5,350 ads): machine operator, operator, maintenance, service, packer, technician, skilled worker, shift supervisor, assembler.
Sales in retail (3077 ads): sales representative, salesperson, sales representative, sales representative, key account manager, telephone salesperson, sales manager.
administrative (1942 ads): receptionist, administrative assistant, receptionist, management assistant, warehouse assistant, sales assistant
Informatics (1675 ads): programmer, support specialist, system administrator, DevOps engineer, Java developer, software engineer, software developer (C , C#, .NET), systems engineer.
Engineering (3012 ads): mechanical engineer, quality assurance engineer, process engineer, quality engineer, mechatronic engineer, electrical engineer, design engineer, production support engineer.
Human resources, human resources, is not among the highest volume jobs (496 ads). Here, the number of ads increased by 85 in a month.
