More job vacancies in February, nearly 32 000 jobs to be filled

The Jobportal.hu, operated by HR Portal, views, collects and organises job advertisements posted by employers in Hungary, mainly job portals and company career sites. In mid-February, companies were looking for candidates for 31 665 positions. For comparison, 29 172 ads were available in mid-January, compared with 40 414 in February last year.

By region, the largest number of job offers are in Budapest and Pest (10 614), followed by Győr-Moson-Sopron (1294), Fejér (1000), Komárom-Esztergom (730) and Bács-Kiskun (710). At the bottom of the list are the counties of Tolna (215) and Békés (197).

From January to February, 21 of the 26 job categories saw an increase in the number of ads and only 5 saw a decrease. Among the major categories, job offers increased by 285 for skilled trades, 368 for sales/trade, 316 for manufacturing and 223 for administrative jobs.

The most frequently advertised positions in the occupations with the highest number of ads were:

Manufacturing (5053 ads): machine operator, operator, maintenance, service, packer, technician, skilled worker, shift supervisor, assembler.

Sales in trade (3200 ads): sales representative, sales assistant, salesman, sales representative, key account manager, telephone salesman, sales manager.

administrative (1860 ads): receptionist, administrative assistant, assistant, receptionist, management assistant, warehouse assistant, sales assistant

Informatics (1542 ads): programmer, support specialist, system administrator, DevOps engineer, Java developer, software engineer, software developer (C , C#, .NET), systems engineer.

Engineering (2832 ads): mechanical engineer, quality assurance engineer, process engineer, quality engineer, mechatronic engineer, electrical engineer, design engineer, production support engineer.

In terms of number of ads, HR, or human resources (411 ads), is not among the highest volume. Here, the number of ads has increased by 108 in a month, and supply has almost halved in a year. The most frequently advertised job titles are recruitment associate, HR associate, payroll clerk, HR trainee, labour relations associate, HR administrator, HR generalist, HR business partner, HR assistant, HR consultant, HR manager, recruitment consultant.
