These are the biggest recruitment agencies in Hungary - here is the industry top list
As in previous years, this year we publish the industry top lists of the Budapest Business Journal's List of Lists book on the labour market. In the first part, we present the recruitment agencies.

The top of the list based on 2023 recruitment turnover remains British-backed Hays Hungary. The company took over the top spot three years ago from the former leader Randstad Hungary, which is now a close second. In fact, looking at revenue for the first half of 2024, Randstad has already achieved the most revenue. In any case, it seems that these two companies are the dominant players in the market.
In third place, there is no change, still Grafton Recruitment is here, up 15 percent in a year. No surprise either Trenkwalder is in fourth place, having been in this position in last year's rankings.
The fifth place of WHC, which has been strong mainly on the loan line, is noteworthy. Especially as they have grown by more than 30 percent in a year. And in the first half of 2024, they were at two-thirds of their 2023 full-year revenue.
Adecco, which also has a rental-major profile, made a huge leap forward, jumping from 19th to 6th place. It almost tripled its turnover from brokerage (from 317 million to 817 million forints).
Bányai and Partners Consulting moved up from 13th to 7th place (with HUF 798 million). Tibor Bányai's company, by the way, has grown rapidly, appearing twice in the last two years in HR Portal's 'Top 10 fastest growing HR recruitment providers'. The company primarily recruits guest workers from India. And Bluebird International has moved from 11th to 10th place with $554 million.
Of course, if there are advances in a top list, there are providers that have slipped back. Examples include Beck and Partners, which dropped from fifth to ninth, and Manpower, which dropped from sixth to eighth. But both companies still retain their places in the top 10.
In previous years, it was common to see Karrier Hungária tweaking a position between third and eighth. From 2022 to 2023, the company's revenue from brokerage fell by HUF 100 million (from HUF 579 million to HUF 479 million), putting it in 15th place. For them, the first half of 2024 was not the best either, with a loss of HUF 190 million.
Also near the top 10 is an up-and-coming provider, IDBC Creative Solutions (13th), which generated 70 percent of its 2023 full-year profit in the first half of 2024.
